Dear Friends and Family,
I am looking forward to seeing you at my Bar Mitzvah on December 13th!!! I don't get a chance to share days like this with you very often. Days like this make me realize that my friends and family are the most important things in my life.
One person that will not be able to share this day with me is my Poppie Harry. Poppie died when I was only 8 months old. He died from colon cancer. I have heard lots of stories about my Poppie and I have seen lots of pictures of him. I know that nothing was more important to him than his family.....and I know that he is smiling at me from heaven.
In honor of my Bar Mitzvah and in memory of my Poppie, I have decided to try and raise money for colon cancer research.
Enclosed is a lanyard keychain that I made for you. In exchange for my lanyard, I hope that you will consider making a donation to Colon Cancer Alliance. I would like to try and help researchers find a cure for colon cancer. If you would like to know more about Colon Cancer Alliance, you can visit their website, http://www.ccalliance.org.
I have enclosed an envelope for you to send me your donation. Please make your donation payable to Colon Cancer Alliance. Thank you so much for your help. Can't wait to see you in December!!
